Why I choose Beauty Counter

When I found Beauty Counter I was so excited because when it comes to keeping my skin in check, and my babies precious skin soft and hydrated I want to make sure I am not putting toxins on the largest organ of our bodies. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of proper skincare in the first place. Anti- aging products and cleansers, lotions that we rub into our skin that basically fill the largest organ of your body with unsafe ingredients, and toxins penetrating your pours??? We shouldn't as a society even have to choose between products that are unsafe, they should simply be banned all together..... but this is not the reality we are living in at the moment.
What I love about Beauty Counter is their mission to fight for change in legislation to ban the unsafe/toxic ingredients.
I want to feel confident that I am making all the right choices when it comes to skin care. In the United states it is hard to feel confident about a lot things. We allow more then 1,300 unsafe ingredients into our cosmetics and skin care, where as the EU has banned all these 1,300. I see this as a huge injustice.
When I decided to sign up and join beauty counter as a consultant it was really an easy decision for me to make. I would like to mention that I am not a pushy sales person. I often give so much away for free. That's because my passion to help others always out weighs any personal monetary gain. I have been that way always, I am a giver. With Beauty Counter I felt their was an opportunity for me to connect further with my peers, with new friends, and with potential clients who want to not only establish great nutrition for their bodies, but also for their skin, and the bonus is that I could make some money as well. For many of the stay at home moms out there, Beauty Counter can offer you an opportunity to make an income, while joining a tribe of change makers! There is nothing wrong with establishing great relationships with brands that truly stand above and deliver results all the while being safe!
Here is Beauty Counters NEVER LIST! I strongly encourage you to check out your skin care products, you will I am certain find many of these ingredients listed.
For example lets talk about something I know you will all see at the bottom of the ingredient list ....
- FRAGRANCES - contain phthalates which are a group of plasticizers that are used to make plastics more flexible or resilient, phthalates soften plastics and are used in PVC (polyvinyl chloride) products and many children’s toys, skincare, shampoo to name but a few products.
Why are they harmful: Environmental Working Group (EWG) researchers found more than 75 percent of products listing the ingredient “fragrance” contained phthalates (THAL-ates) which have been shown to disrupt hormone activity, reduce sperm counts, and cause reproductive malformation, and have been linked to liver and breast cancer, diabetes, and obesity.
Now I have only analyzed just one harmful ingredient...if you are scared to know the rest, you should be! It is truly terrifying!
